The environment of Yenepoya University Mangalore is very eco-friendly and the University’s responsibility as a no smoking, plastic free, perfect and green campus. Efforts are being made to build up the YU campus on green concepts particularly center around water conservation, utilization of various energy sources, strong waste management, vermicomposting, green belt improvement and sustainable architectural buildings designs.
The Yenepoya University [YU] Mangalore campus is designed with several highlights for decreasing consumption of energies and utilizing renewable natural assets such as sun based such as solar panels and rain water harvesting pond. The YU University or the Yenepoya College considers logical management of waste transfer to restrict the effect on the environment and society.Broad landscape created throughout the years encourages biodiversity. A medicinal plant garden comprising of about 50 plant species is maintained in the campus.
